Hanksville RV & Marine

The Quiet Basecamp for Capitol Reef
Located in the desert outpost of Caineville, Sleepy Hollow is a rustic, family-run oasis known for its massive cottonwood trees and "old-school" hospitality. Situated just 20 minutes east of Capitol Reef National Park, it offers a peaceful, shaded alternative to the busier hubs in Torrey.
Amenities: Level pull-through sites for RVs and tents, 20/30/50 amp electric, water, exceptionally clean restrooms with hot showers, and a dump station.
Connectivity: Located in a total cell service "dead zone," guest Wi-Fi is available only near the office.
Booking: Reservations are strictly by phone at (435) 456-9130. There is no online booking or email system; once the owners record your name in their physical ledger, you’re set.
Checking In: If the office is empty upon arrival, use the vintage rotary phone outside—it dials the owners' home across the street directly so they can come over to check you in.
Plan to pay with cash or check ($30–$40 avg), and stock up on groceries in Torrey or Hanksville before you arrive, as Caineville has no supplies.
